The AC input includes noise filters that effectively clean up RFI on the mains power line. A rear panel illuminated power switch can be left on at all times while the standby switch may be used as needed – in standby mode, the core digital and analog sections remain powered and warm (with muted outputs) to maintain optimum performance. A Plitron toroidal transformer quietly feeds the power supply board and includes isolated digital and analog secondary windings. The power supply board includes very low noise diodes, substantial filter capacitance, and regulation. Additional localized regulation and noise filtration is used throughout the other system boards.
