CD playback begins with the latest version of the Philips CD Pro 2M top-loading transport module. A precisely machined aluminum clamp, containing a magnet for increased clamping force, stabilizes disc rotation to minimize disc reading errors and electronic correction. The transport is rigidly fastened to a solid non-resonant machined billet of ¾” aluminum that is in turn mechanically isolated in the Integris chassis on flexible mounts.

This design provides vibrational isolation similar to having an external transport and with the unique mounting system, perhaps better and easily among the most elite separate CD transports available. In an advantage over a separate transport, the signal is sent directly to the DSP board without the need of an external digital cable and chassis connectors that would otherwise surely result in some degree of signal loss or alteration.
